So you have booked your holiday to Disneyland® Paris and now it is time to start thinking about what to take with you.

We all know that a bag of essentials is a non-negotiable when you’ve got children! However, when you go to Disneyland® you might want to consider a few extra bits. Most rides at Disney require you to take your bags with you on the ride, so you wouldn’t want a bulky bag, we recommend bringing a medium-sized rucksack (and maybe your kids can carry one as well!)

Ultimate Disneyland® Checklist

Here is our list of essential items to pack in your Disney bag:

Most rides at Disney require you to take your bags with you on the ride, so you wouldn’t want a bulky bag, we recommend bringing a medium-sized rucksack (and maybe your kids can carry one as well!)

We have created this checklist PDF for you to print or browse through, to ensure that you’ve got everything you need for your upcoming trip. Additionally, if you’re questioning why, you need Disney ears or specifically a medium backpack, read on to discover our helpful hints about this holiday destination.

Tickets & Passes:

We’ll say it once again TICKETS AND PASSES. These are essential, there’s nothing worse than getting to the gates, after commuting just to discover the tickets are at the hotel or worse… at home. Make sure you put these in a safe place and that you’ve brought them to the park.

Power bank:

The Disneyland® Paris app is an absolute must if you’re planning a visit! It tells you which rides are open, their wait times, and so much more! A power bank allows you to keep the charge up on your phone so you can consistently check the app.

Snacks:

Days at the parks can be full of walking and excitement, with such long days you should consider bringing snacks with you. Additionally, if you’re looking to go to Disneyland® Paris on a budget, it’s a good idea to bring your snacks, as the food can become quite pricey.

Autograph book & pen:

One of the best things to do when you meet the characters is to get their autograph! You can buy an official Disney autograph book or there’s plenty on Amazon, one to suit every style. Make sure you bring a pen (or two!).

Disney ears:

There are so many different Disney ears, these headbands are awesome for several reasons. Firstly, they’re a fantastic way of expressing your style! Secondly, if you’re in a busy crowd they can help you stand out. Last but not least, they’re FUN!

Disney pins:

Guests can approach cast members and ask them about trading pins. The cast member is always required to say yes! There are new collections released every year, these are always a fun way of interacting with the friendly cast members.

Comfortable shoes:

The grounds at Disneyland® Paris are huge. With so much on offer to explore, you must wear comfortable shoes! We recommend wearing trainers or well-worn shoes… you might be doing over 25,000 steps every day!

Change of clothes:

If you’re going to be visiting Disneyland® Paris during the summer, we recommend bringing a sunhat and some suncream as well! If you’re travelling in the winter instead, gloves and a warm hat are crucial for queue times and outdoor displays!

Small blanket:

This is perfect if you cannot find a free restaurant table (bear in mind priority is given to paying customers) there is a specific picnic area located between the entrance and the parking lot. Small blankets are also necessary as seating around the park can be limited.

Refillable water bottles:

This one comes as no surprise. Travelling around Disneyland® Paris is a magical experience, but it can be thirsty work, especially if you have little ones with you! A refillable water bottle is a must to keep you and your family hydrated!

Ponchos or umbrella:

Unfortunately, the magic at Disneyland® Paris can’t promise excellent weather all the time! Sometimes, unexpected showers can happen so a poncho is really useful for keeping yourself dry in the queues and shows!

Wet wipes:

Once again, it’s not surprising that baby wipes make our list of essential packing items. If you have little ones, we don’t need to tell you why these are so important!

What have you been up to? We would really love to know! Someone else might love it, and really want to go! If you have ideas, suggestions or reviews, you can shout all about it on whatever channel you choose!

Amazing stay at Disney Hotel Cheyenne for my daughter’s 7th birthday. Staying at an on-site hotel was wonderful! Walking into the park and back each day…no having to pay for taxis or even queuing for shuttles! Hotel Cheyenne was a great Wild West theme – my daughter dressed as Jessie, met her in the reception then had a real horse ride!
